Stomping Ground!

Twenty-six Year 8 & 9 students got the opportunity to visit the Theatre Royal, Newcastle at the end of March. The trip was part of an extended arts project that the students are working on called ‘Stomping Ground’. On the trip the students learnt all about the history and working of the theatre as well as taking part in a drama and storytelling workshop. Deputy Headteacher Mark Warland said ‘this was an excellent opportunity for our students to learn about our local theatre and work with professional actors’. The Stomping Ground project culminates in the creation of a film which will be premiered at the Tyneside Cinema in July!
