How We Support Mental Health at School

At Ponteland High School, we take student mental health seriously. We offer:

  • A dedicated Pastoral Team and Heads of Year
  • Staff trained in youth mental health first aid
  • Mental Health and Wellbeing is a central theme of our Personal Development curriculum.
  • Signposting and support from local services

We are here to support the whole family.

Kooth is an online mental health platform that offers free, confidential support for young people.

It’s designed to help you feel heard, understood, and supported—no pressure, no referrals, and no judgment.

Available 24/7 and completely anonymous, Kooth gives students access to:
