Thursday last week was the final day for the Year 13 students, marking the end of their time at school and the start of a new chapter. There was a relaxed, upbeat mood as students spent the day with friends and teachers, taking in the moment and reflecting on how far they’ve come. Staff shared their best wishes and a few words of advice, offering support as students prepare for the A-level exams ahead. Although there were plenty of laughs and a good sense of humour throughout the day, there was also an underlying sense of focus, with exams now just around the corner. It was a simple but meaningful send-off, and one that reminded everyone of the effort, growth, and relationships that shaped the past two years.
As the day drew to a close, many of our students stopped by familiar classrooms and shared spaces that had become part of their daily routine. Some paused to take photos with friends and teachers, trying to capture a piece of a place that had played such a big role in their lives. Conversations turned to the future, with talk of university plans, gap years, apprenticeships, and the uncertainty that comes with leaving the structure of school behind. Despite the nerves around exams, there was a growing sense of independence and ambition.
Good luck to all our year 13s
