Eve Hallissey, one of our Year 12 students, competed in the British Next Generation Championships in late July, beating 25 other talented swimmers in the 200m Backstroke. She won the final to become British Champion in the 16 year old age class! She also achieved a silver medal in the 100m Backstroke, a brilliant double achievement.
This is testament to hard work and determination necessary to compete in elite level sport. Eve trains 8 times a week with a typical day starting at 4.30am. She is ranked number one in Britain at this distance and has been selected onto the Youth Performance Squad to begin training for elite international competition. We look forward to updating you on her future success.
