British Champion – Eve’s journey continues

September 19th, 2025

In July, Eve became the British Champion in the 200m Backstroke (16 years) after winning gold at the GB Aquatics Next Gen Championships held at Ponds Forge, Sheffield. She also added to her medal tally by winning silver in the 100m Backstroke (16 years) at the same championships — an impressive display of talent and determination.

Eve’s hard work and dedication have also earned her a place on the Swim England Youth Performance Squad, which recognises the top 36 under-18 male and female swimmers in England. As part of this elite squad, Eve will be representing England in Luxembourg at the end of January, an incredible honour and opportunity to compete on the international stage.

In addition, Eve has been selected for the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS), a Sport England–funded programme that supports the country’s most promising young athletes. Through TASS, Eve will benefit from a comprehensive network of support including strength and conditioning, physiotherapy, lifestyle support, psychology, nutrition, medical care, and mental health support — all designed to help her reach her full potential.
