We are delighted to announce that Ponteland High School has been nominated for – and awarded the School Music Mark Certification for the third consecutive year. This recognition is particularly meaningful as it highlights both the ambition and the importance we place on music within our school community.
Music Mark is a national membership organisation, Subject Association, and Arts Council England investment that champions high quality musical education in and beyond the classroom. Their mission is to ensure that all young people have access to excellent musical learning, and receiving their accreditation is a testament to the strength, consistency, and breadth of our provision.
Ponteland High School was nominated by Music Partnership North, who commended not only the wide range of musical opportunities available to our students, but also the value and priority the school places on music as a vital part of a well rounded education. From classroom learning to ensembles, performances, and community events, music continues to play a vibrant and celebrated role in school life.
