A group of dedicated sixth form students from Ponteland High School are currently working towards their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award, the highest level of the prestigious programme. Balancing their studies with volunteering, skills development, physical challenges, and an adventurous expedition, they are showing resilience, teamwork, and determination. Their commitment not only demonstrates personal growth but also reflects the school’s ethos of encouraging young people to push beyond their comfort zones and develop valuable life skills that will stay with them long after sixth form.
