We are extremely proud of our students for representing Ponteland High School at the North East Regional Forum this year. The event took part at Jesmond Park Academy along with six other Secondary Schools.
Prior to the competition, our students researched a wide range of topics including; artificial intelligence, childhood hunger, and extremism and misogyny. Students also prepared and delivered a series of proposal, opposition and summation speeches throughout the day. Tilly M. and Charlotte C. took to the podium to deliver impassioned speeches which engaged the audience.
Competition was very tough this year and although we did not get selected for the Nationals, the students did a fantastic job and will hopefully continue their journey with EYP in the future.
A huge thank you also to Rosie B. as Head Organiser and Kate J. as an official. We were also thrilled to see the return of Myles P. as Head of Jury.
