Last Saturday, Ponteland High School was delighted to host the Northumberland Music Workshop Day, and what a fantastic event it was. The day was incredibly positive, bringing together over 100 young musicians from across the county to rehearse, collaborate and perform.
It was especially pleasing to see a strong number of our own students taking part, fully engaging with the wide range of ensemble opportunities on offer. Throughout the day, students worked with specialist tutors in ensembles, choir, guitar and percussion groups, developing their skills and confidence.
The atmosphere was vibrant and supportive, culminating in a lovely final performance for parents and carers. It was clear how much the students had achieved in just one day.
We are very proud to support music in the wider community and to work alongside Northumberland Music in providing such valuable opportunities for young people. It was a pleasure to host the event and to see so many students enjoying music making together.
