On the week beginning the 29th September, Year 12 pupil George W had the brilliant opportunity to complete three days of work experience alongside a local MP, Joe Morris of the Labour Party. He gained valuable experience for a career that he would like to pursue in future.
He said: “My work experience with Joe’s office gave me a real insight into how politics works on a local level. I was able to see the wide range of issues an MP deals with, from community projects to meetings with the police and council representatives. It gave me a deeper understanding of how policy decisions affect people’s everyday lives and confirmed my ambition to pursue a career in politics.”
