A group of Ponteland High School students were given the unforgettable opportunity to fly the flag at the Sunderland v Arsenal game this weekend, thanks to our partnership with AK Teaching.
The students were pitchside at the start of the match, taking part in a powerful Remembrance weekend display to honour those who have served.
While our corridors may not be overflowing with Sunderland shirts, a proud few red-and-white supporters represented the school with real enthusiasm — and plenty of noise — as they took to the pitch before the game.
Mr Greenshields said:
“It was brilliant to see our students enjoying such a special moment. The Sunderland players showed incredible dedication and resilience to grab that late equaliser against the league leaders — great character strengths we always try to champion here at Ponteland.”
A huge thank you to AK Teaching for making this experience possible.
