Sixth Form Students Step Out for Wellbeing Walk

November 24th, 2025

Our Sixth Form students took part in a refreshing coastal Wellbeing Walk this week, an activity designed to support positive mental health as part of our developing enrichment programme. The initiative encourages students to explore practical strategies for maintaining good wellbeing, including the benefits of fresh air, gentle exercise, and meaningful conversation with friends.
Braving the very chilly autumn weather, students completed a three-mile walk along the coastline. The morning offered space to unwind, socialise, and take a break from classroom
routines. A well-earned hot chocolate on the beach added warmth to the experience before the group continued on to Whitley Bay, where they rounded off the day with lunch
together.

The Wellbeing Walk is one of several enrichment opportunities being introduced to help students cultivate resilience, balance, and healthy habits that support both their academic
success and personal growth. We look forward to building on this programme and offering even more ways for students to prioritise their wellbeing throughout the year.
