On Thursday, 16th November, Year 13 History students from Ponteland were afforded the opportunity to join the The Third Reich Conference, hosted at Magdalen College School, Oxford, via a Zoom link. The invitation to join the conference came via the History department at the Royal Grammar School and Max Habsburg, who we are most grateful to.
The conference enabled our students to listen to the views of highly regarded academics, such as Professor Richard Overy and gain a valuable insight into what university lectures would be like. The topics of the three lectures were highly relevant to Year 13 course content and provided valuable analysis of the use of terror systems and the Third Reich at war.
