On Friday, we were delighted to host a fantastic singing showcase in collaboration with the Samling Institute. The Samling Institute is a nationally renowned organisation dedicated to nurturing and supporting young classical singers, providing them with high-level coaching and performance opportunities.
Over the past three months, Samling artists have been working closely with a group of our soloists and school choir, helping them to develop their vocal technique, musical understanding and confidence in performance.
The showcase was led by Miranda Wright, an experienced vocal coach and répétiteur who works extensively with young singers and professional performers across the UK. Her expertise and engaging approach made the event both inspiring and highly educational.
The performance provided a wonderful opportunity for students to demonstrate the progress they have made throughout the project to friends and family. The standard was exceptionally high, and it was fantastic to see students performing with such confidence, musicality and expression.
A particular highlight of the afternoon was a live masterclass led by Miranda, where students received immediate feedback and guidance on their performances. This gave both performers and audience members a valuable insight into the process of refining vocal technique and interpretation at a high level.
We are incredibly proud of all the students who took part and are very grateful to the Samling Institute and Miranda Wright for their continued support. We look forward to welcoming them back into school next year.
