he Anne Frank Exhibition was hosted in the Ponteland High School library from 27-30th January with Y7 and 8 students acting as ambassadors for visiting classes. One of the student ambassadors, Harry said: “Our group focused on the time period of when Anne moved to Holland and the war beginning. On Wednesday we presented our slides to all of Year 7 at Ponteland High School. On Thursday we presented our information to all of Year 8. I enjoyed taking part in this experience and feel I have gained more confidence presenting in front of people. I have a better understanding of the way Jews were treated and the horrific deaths of the 11.5 million people because of Hitler.” Henry, another student ambassador, said: “The Anne Frank exhibition was really educational. I learned a lot about Anne that I never really knew before. It was satisfying to teach some of the school something new that wasn’t a fact from a text book or the internet but from another person’s life.”
