One of the highlights of the academic year for the History Department is always the Year 7 extended castles homework. Year on year this particular homework always produces some outstanding results and puts a smile on the faces of the History department staff members. This year was no different! As Mr Bartlett, Raising Achievement Deputy (Humanities) commented, 'The castles homework always highlights how fantastic our Year 7 students are. The effort the students put into their respective models, cakes and Minecraft designs is always a pleasure to see. That they often involve family in the process is another rewarding aspect of the homework, but what always shines through the most is their creativity and commitment. Well done Year 7!'
