Last Friday the school hosted a ceilidh to raise funds for people who have been affected by earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. The event was organised by some of our year 13 students and the Whistling Sheep school band which is now a staggering 28 years old and led by Jim Grant.
It was a well attended event which included many people, young and old, dancing the night away to the music of the band. There was also a wonderful buffet which was organised by students and Dr Green.
Head of Music, Mr Rosier said "In total the event raised £847.50 which is absolutely fantastic and will make a real difference in aiding those who have suffered in the aftermath of earthquakes".
A huge well done to all the students and band members who organised this event.
