We were delighted to welcome students from two Chinese schools, Qinhuangdao No 1 High School and Tangshan Foreign Language School as part of a Pele Trust international collaboration project between schools in China and the UK. Earlier this year, two of our Sixth Form students spent time in China, experiencing education and cultural opportunities in the Chinese province of Hebei.
This week we were able to welcome 32 Chinese students in school. They spent Monday in school, taking part in a range of lessons alongside our own students and enjoying local customs like Sausage and Mash in the canteen! Our visitors spent Tuesday visiting Beamish Museum, to gain an understanding of the local history of the North East. The visit was a fantastic opportunity for everyone involved and we are looking forward to facilitating visits to China for our student ambassadors again next year.
