On the 8th of December of 2022 a fellow member of our Y7s recently went on a trip to Ypres, Belgium for the under 12s Christmas Truce tournament. After the first day in Ypres, he and his teammates had a full day's worth of education about Christmas day in 1914. This included a visit to Jack Huggins grave (a former SAFC player who served on the frontline), a visit to the trenches, and a look around a museum based around this event.
The next day they played in a tournament against teams up and down the country and 4 european teams.
