On Saturday 20th June, the stunning Vermont Hotel in the heart of Newcastle played host to a truly unforgettable evening as our fantastic Year 13 students gathered for their traditional Leavers’ Ball.
Dressed to the nines, the students arrived in style, trading their school uniforms and revision notes for glamorous evening gowns and sharp suits. The elegant venue provided the perfect backdrop for an evening dedicated to celebrating not just the end of a grueling exam season, but the culmination of their entire journey at Ponteland High School.
The atmosphere was electric as students and staff raised a glass to the memories made, the challenges overcome, and the lifelong friendships formed during their time with us. After months of intense studying and dedication, it was the perfect opportunity for everyone to let their hair down and kick-start what is sure to be a well-deserved, unforgettable long summer holiday.
As this remarkable cohort prepares to close this chapter of their lives, the entire Ponteland High School community wants to extend its heartfelt congratulations.
“We wish our Year 13 students the absolute best of luck with their upcoming exam results and as they take their next steps into the world-whether that be university, apprenticeships, gap years, or employment.”
While they may be leaving our classrooms, they will always be a part of the Ponteland family. We look forward to keeping in touch with all of our leavers and can’t wait to hear about their future successes.
Congratulations, Class of 2026! Have a wonderful summer-you’ve earned it.
