On Thursday 15 November, Eve H attended the Sport Newcastle annual presentation evening where she was awarded a Sport Newcastle Rising Star Award. Congratulations to Louisa H in Year 12 who also received a Rising Star Award.
There were 10 rising star awards presented in total, for a wide variety of sports. They were given their awards by Sport Newcastle’s Patron Jonathan Edwards. The award comes with some funding to support the athletes
Eve has achieved so much this year so far, including:

Silver medal 200m Backstroke (15 years)
4th 100m Backstroke (15 years)
4th 800m Freestyle (15 years)
English Open Water National Championships Silver medal 5km (15 years)
English National Championships
Gold 200m Freestyle (14/15 years)
Currently ranked Number 1 in Britain for 200m Backstroke (15 years)
Selected onto the Swim England National Youth Development Programme.
