This week some of our GCSE music students attended a composition workshop in school run by Mr Alastair Lord. Mr Lord studied composition at the Royal Northern College Of Music and has written many notable orchestral works. In the session students focused on orchestration and how to use sonority effectively.
Head of Music, Mr Phil Rosier said "It was an inspiring workshop which helped the students gain a deeper knowledge of the composition process which will help them in their studies."
