Gold for Eve H in the English Schools Swimming Association National Interdivisional Championships

15 March 2024

Eve competed in the English Schools Swimming Association National interdivisional championship down in Coventry last weekend and came away with two golds, one silver and one bronze. The North East team were crowned National champions too.

Eve has also qualified to compete at the British Trials in early April for the first time, which this year are also the Olympic trials given we’re in an Olympic year. She’ll be heading down to race at the London Aquatic Centre the first week of the Easter holidays. This is a huge achievement at her age, and an incredible experience as she’ll be mingling with swimmers who will make up this summer’s Olympic team.

Finally, Eve competed in the Northumberland and Durham County Championship in February, winning gold in the 50m, 100m and 200m Backstroke and silver in the 400m Individual Medley and 1500m Freestyle. This is the fifth year in row that she has won all three backstroke medals.
