Year 7 and 8 students got a taste of 'Green Careers Week' in a session led by Connor, a visiting speaker from Northumberland College. During the session students found out about a range of green career paths before getting hands on in an experiment to design the most efficient wind turbine possible.
Careers Leader, Mr Greenshields said, "We are always keen to promote close relationships with our partners at local colleges and so I'm really grateful to Connor for sharing his time with us, students particularly enjoyed the chance of taking part in a practical that brought the learning to life. Helping students understand a broad range of careers, including those they may have never considered before is a key aspect of our careers programme. Hopefully, yesterday's sessions got students thinking more about where Green Careers can take them."
