Home Adventures!

19 April 2024

Just before the Easter holiday 25 students took part in a school trip to gather information about the history and heritage of the North East. The day started with a visit to the Centre for Life, Newcastle, to learn about the stars that are visible in the North East sky. This was led by a professional astronomer. In the afternoon the students travelled to The Sill on Hadrian's Wall where they learnt about Northumberland National Park and the Roman history of the area.
The students are taking part in an extended arts project called Home Adventures. This project will culminate in the production of a short video about the North East which will hopefully be premiered at the Tyneside Cinema in July.
