On Tuesday morning, a group of Year 7 and 8 girls took a long trip down to Warrington to compete in the 'Inspired by 9's National Finals' for Rugby League. We faced schools from big rugby league towns but did amazingly. We won some games, scored lots of try's and developed throughout the day. Captain Tori M said "the tournament was great and I am so proud of all the girls participating, everyone did amazing! It was such a fun experience for us all". Each player stood out at some point during the competition, but the player of tournament was Poppy H for her fantastic line breaks and hard tackles.
PE teacher Miss Cowell said "We are very proud of how far our girls rugby has developed over recent years and opportunities like this highlight the growth. Well done girls!"
