Kate F was rowing in the British Rowing Junior Championship at Strathclyde Country Park over the weekend of the 14th to 16th of July for her rowing club Tyne Amateur Rowing Club. She finished second in the final of the J15 Coxed Quad with her crew and got a fantastic silver medal.
Kate has represented the North Region at the JIRR (Junior Inter-Regional Regatta) as a single sculler for the last 2 years (2023 and 2022)
She trains 6 times per week (Land training, water training and weights) – sounds intense but she enjoys it really. In addition to this national silver medal, she has had local reggata wins at Hexham, Tees and Durham.
