Katie is playing her second full season for the U15 Northumberland girls cricket team. She first played a game for the U11 county girls in 2019 and played for the U13 county girls for the 2020-2023 seasons. Games were affected by the wet weather at the beginning of the season, but so far they have played Durham U15 girls, Yorkshire U15 girls and the U15 girls at RGS.
As a team they beat Durham U15 girls in their most recent fixture. Games coming up for the rest of the season include Durham and Yorkshire again along with fixtures against Cumbria U15 girls, Scotland U15 girls and a 3 day tour in the summer holidays where they play matches against 3 counties they wouldn’t normally get the opportunity to play. Katie’s highlight of the county season so far has been a score of 46 not out against Yorkshire and being given the opportunity to play up an age group for the U18 North East Warriors against Cumbria.
