As part of a mayor's question time, Ponteland High School sixth form students were invited to take part in posing questions to the North of the Tyne Mayor James Driscol. Students posed challenging questions related to issues young people currently face alongside the broader issues in their local community. Sixth form students were able to watch the live stream and listen to the response from the mayor.
We are delighted to report that our sixth formers were offered a fantastic opportunity this week. They were invited to submit pre-recorded questions to the North of the Tyne Mayor, James Driscol, as part of a live streamed Mayor’s question time. Our students demonstrated their maturity and civic understanding in posing challenging questions about issues young people experience in our community.
Deputy Headteacher, Mr Spurr said "They were able to watch the live stream and hear the mayor’s responses to their questions. As ever, our sixth form students were a credit to the school!"
