Students from across years 7,10,11,12 and 13 attended the Theatre Royal for the Performance of Dear England by the National Theatre. Students followed the story of England Manager Gareth Southgate through his time as England Manager and his “Dear England” Letter to the nation. Students were then lucky enough to work with the National Theatre in school. Students worked with them in a workshop capacity. Students were encouraged to write their own Dear England letter to themselves in the future. The students’ words were captured in voice recordings that will be part of a national recording featuring over 80 schools that will be released in April and placed in a time capsule at the National Theatre.
