Odd Socks Day

13 November 2024

On Tuesday, 12th November, our school celebrated Odd Socks Day as part of Anti-Bullying Week. A number of students and staff sported mismatched socks that highlighted the importance of accepting and celebrating each other's unique qualities. Throughout the week, students attend assemblies and participate in tutor sessions focused on respect, kindness, and the impact of bullying.

Odd Socks Day served as a fun reminder that we all play a role in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued. At our school, we believe in fostering respect and compassion among students. We are proud to see our community standing together to say no to bullying and yes to diversity and respect. “As a school, we’re committed to fostering a community where everyone feels respected and valued,” said Deputy Headteacher, Mr Greenshields. “Odd Socks Day is a simple, fun way to remind students that our differences make us stronger and that our character strengths of respect and compassion are at the heart of who we are.”
