What a night!
For the first time ever, Ponteland High School have secured two places in the next round of the Chess Tournament. We took our Team ‘A’ and our Team ‘B’ to Bede Academy where they battled against some formidable teams from Ashington Academy, QE High School, Benfield School and Bede Academy.
Both teams played exceptionally well and won some exciting matches. Our ‘A’ Team won all 6 points in their last match. We are looking forward to our next battle but in the mean time we have a number of friendly games lined up for practice.
We are so proud of all the students who took part and thrilled we have progressed to the next round. Well done to them all.
