The school welcomed 9 local and national employers to our Careers Breakfast marking National Apprenticeship Week.
Representatives from Northumberland Council, Hays Travel, Accenture, Sir Robert McAlpine, Parkdean Resorts, Equans, Newcastle Building Society, Northumbria NHS and Essity met a range of year 10 and year 11 students in a speed-dating style session to help students understand the opportunities that apprenticeships can offer.
Mr Greenshields, Assistant Headteacher, said 'It was a pleasure to welcome colleagues from a range of businesses to school for this event. Understanding the reality of the world of work is a key aim of our careers provision and speaking in person to employers and employees is a key way we can achieve this. Our students engaged well throughout the session leading to compliments from a number of our guests."
