Ponteland’s Exhibition of Hope - Year 7 and 8

28 November 2021

Year 7 and 8 students produced amazing creative pieces which were displayed at the recent Exhibition of Hope at Ponteland Methodist Church.

The exhibition was held over 2 days and was opened by the Mayor of Ponteland, Christine Greenwell, on Saturday 6 November. There were 47 Community groups who contributed to the exhibition including Ponteland High School, Ponteland Primary, Richard Coates and Darras Hall primary. There was silent film playing in the background dedicated to NHS and other frontline workers.

It was a really moving and successful event, attended by over 100 villagers.

Headteacher, Kieran McGrane, commented, “It is always lovely to be able to contribute to community-based activities and I know that our Y7 and Y8 artwork will have added real value to what was a very moving exhibition.”
