Almost 60 children and adults with disabilities took part in The Reason To Disability Triathlon in Hexham on Sunday, September 15.
The event saw participants aged eight and above complete a traditional triathlon by swimming, running, and cycling, supported by specially adapted equipment.
This year's triathlon was the largest in the event's history. For the first time, the event was held atWentworth Leisure Centre in Hexham. To celebrate the event’s 10th anniversary, the participants were joined by CBBC’s ‘Danny & Mick’ star and performer, Danny Adams.
Rosie B (Year 12) said, “On Sunday I completed the Reason To - Disability Triathlon: run by The Barn. It was amazing seeing every ability being able to compete and do all 3 disciplines. Danny Adams handed out the medals! Many of us do not get the opportunity to get involved in sports so to see 60 of us together was incredible”.
Well done Rosie!
