Miss Falloon, one of Ponteland High’s Science teachers, was recently victorious in the Kielder 10K. The race was part of the larger Kielder Marathon Festival, held around the picturesque Northumbrian reservoir on the first weekend in October.
Miss Falloon endured the torrential downpours and the undulating terrain to finish the 10K route, breaking the tape in 39 minutes and 32 seconds.
One of the partners of the running festival is Active Northumberland, who of course manage the leisure centre part of our state-of-the-art Ponteland Schools and Leisure facilities.
