A group of students from Ponteland High School enjoyed a brilliant day out at Tynemouth this week, trading the classroom for a surfboard as part of a school surfing trip to the coast.
Blessed with glorious weather, pupils spent the day riding the waves, building their confidence in the water and picking up new skills under the guidance of experienced instructors. Whether catching their first wave or simply enjoying a paddle in the sunshine, the students had a fantastic time from start to finish.
As well as being great fun, the trip gave pupils the chance to try something new, build resilience, and enjoy the great outdoors with friends. Tynemouth’s stunning coastline provided the perfect backdrop for a memorable day away from school.
With smiles all round and plenty of laughter, the trip was a wonderful reminder of how much fun can be had outside the classroom!
