Our Year 12 students had a very informative morning at the UCAS Discovery Exhibition at the Utilita Arena Newcastle. Here, students were able to discover all of their options under one roof. Exhibitors were there to represent traditional degrees, apprenticeships, careers and more.
The aim of a Discovery event is to help students decide on their next steps. Students were able to:
- chat to universities and colleges about their courses and uni life.
- speak to employers and apprenticeship providers about what an apprenticeship is like and the options available
- listen to talks from experts in their field
As our Year 12 students begin to make a start on their applications this summer, hopefully this will have provided some helpful food for thought!
