Year 7 enjoy a week at High Borrans

28 November 2022

In the first week of November, more than 40 Year 7 students attended a residential trip at High Borrans near Lake Windermere in Ambleside.  Despite some wet, cold and windy weather, students donned their waterproofs and braved the outdoors.  Accompanied by staff members, Mr Allman, Miss Byers, Mrs Tilbury, Mrs Heath and Mr Benn, the students spent 5 days participating in a number of exciting and challenging activities including rambling, caving and canoeing.

Imogen, 7JBY, said: “My favourite activity in High Borrans was ghyll scrambling because we got to jump in. I also really enjoyed caving, it was really fun. The food there was great; I especially enjoyed the cheese and onion pasty and the chicken kiev. The dorms were good too. One of my favourite memories was slipping down the waterfall with my friend in ghyll scrambling!”
